Professional Achievements
Mr. Dickson has over twenty years of experience in the field of structural engineering that includes structural design, field investigations and laboratory studies. His design and evaluation experience includes buildings and bridges constructed of reinforced concrete (conventional, prestressed and post-tensioned), structural steel, masonry and timber. He has also designed underpinning systems for the foundations of residential and commercial properties, as well as designed earth retention systems using soil nail walls, segmental retaining walls and sheet piles.
Mr. Dickson has also performed numerous investigations for the evaluation of property loss and construction defect claims. Theses investigations have included structural failure/collapse, fire/storm damage assessment, water infiltration, roofing failure, building façade evaluations and construction problems.
Mr. Dickson has had technical papers published in several professional journals. He has also given presentations at national conferences on defective construction in residential construction and water infiltration investigations. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineer's Technical Council on Forensic Engineering.
