Timothy J. Dickson, PE, SE
Professional Achievements:
Mr. Dickson has over 20 years of experience in the field of structural engineering. His experiences include structural design, field investigations and laboratory studies. His design and evaluation experience includes buildings and bridges constructed of reinforced concrete (conventional, prestressed and post-tensioned), structural steel, masonry and timber. He has also designed underpinning systems for the foundations of residential and commercial properties, and has designed earth-retention systems using soil-nail walls, segmental retaining walls and sheet piles.
Mr. Dickson has also performed numerous investigations for the evaluation of property loss and construction-defect claims. These investigations have included structural failures / collapse, fire- / storm-damage assessments, water infiltration, roofing failures, building-façade evaluations, and construction problems.
Mr. Dickson has had technical papers published in several professional journals. He has also given presentations at national conferences on defective construction in residential construction and water-infiltration investigations. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers' Technical Council on Forensic Engineering.
